About Sierra Hampl
Sierra is the Mentor Trainer at ADGTK. As Mentor Trainer her job is to oversee all of the assistants and interns and help their growth and development.
Sierra started taking classes at ADGTK with her rescued dog, Stella, in early 2015. She immediately impressed us with her willingness to learn and unwavering dedication to helping Stella be the best dog she could be. We were delighted when she signed up for our Puppy Manners class with her 8-week old German Shepherd, Charley, a few months later. Over the course of Charley’s early development, Sierra came to multiple puppy socials per week, in addition to exploiting every socialization opportunity that came her way — no small feat for a busy mother of two. She continued to bring Charley to nearly every class we offer as he matured, once again demonstrating not only her commitment to her dog, but her ever-sharpening skills as a trainer. In summary, Sierra could write a book on the art of raising a puppy, and Charley is a shining example of her dedication.
Over the past year, she has also assisted us in many classes, rigorously studied the science of dog behavior and animal learning, and attended workshops to polish her training skills. She is now teaching a wide array of classes, offering private lessons, and helping ADGTK run smoothly behind the scenes. She is also a gifted writer and photographer. She utilizes her writing skills by developing our monthly newsletter.
