About Jessica Fatkins
Jessica joined the ADGTK team September 2017 after interning over the summer.
Her first dog training seminar was with Debbie Jacobs at ADGTK in May ’17. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a minor in Psychology from Kent State University. Her psychology background has provided her with the knowledge of the science of how animals learn.
A significant motivator for her to learn more about the laws of animal behavior has been her dog, Ruby, she adopted in 2014. Ruby, a fearful of strangers pup, has taught her the importance of using force-free/positive reinforcement training methods for all animals. She wants Ruby to feel safe with the world around her and is currently working on husbandry skills to use when they are at the veterinary clinic.
She's excited to learn more about animal behavior from the knowledgable team at ADGTK. You’ll see her assisting with the basic manners and puppy classes.
