About Jessica Fatkins, CPDT-KA
Jessica joined the ADGTK team in September 2017, after attending a Debbie Jacobs seminar and interning over the summer that same year.
She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a minor in Psychology from Kent State University. Her psychology background, along with an insatiable thirst for knowledge in all things dog behavior, has provided her with a sophisticated understanding of the science of how animals learn.
A significant motivator for her to learn more about the laws of animal behavior has been her dog, Ruby, she adopted in 2014. Ruby, a fearful dog, has taught her the importance of using reward-based training methods for all animals. She wants Ruby to feel safe with the world around her and is currently working on husbandry skills to use when they are at the veterinary clinic.
She is an skilled trainer, a compassionate dog professional and highly astute teacher.
